Naan Mudhalvan platform aims to provide dynamic information for college students on courses and relevant information about industry specific skill offerings. This will enable the students of TamilNadu to get training in their chosen field of interest that will help them in achieving their career goals.Under the Scheme around 50,000 students from 30 Engineering Colleges, 32 Arts and Science Colleges and 20 Polytechnic Colleges in Kanniyakumari District are being benefited.The District Administration has planned to conduct a project mela for the students of all Engineering Colleges in the District to develop their research ideas and Skills with the aim of generating solutions for problems and issues faced by the society in battling ecology conservation. A total price money of Rs. 1.75 Lakhs has been sanctioned by TNSDC under Naan Mudhalvan Scheme based on the proposal submitted by DSTO through the District Collector.

Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion (“SANKALP”) is a programme of the Ministry of Skill Development with loan assistance from the World Bank. It aims to improve short term skill training qualitatively and quantitatively through strengthening institutions, bring in better market connectivity and inclusion of marginalised sections of the society. Under the SANKALP scheme TNSDC has approved the proposals submitted by the DSTO through the District Collector for trainingi) Fisher women, widows and ST people in the art of Coconut shell Craft making. Sanction has been provided for training 100 marginalised people in this Handicraft. The first batch of training is about start from the third week of January 2023.ii) Care and Maintenance of Fishing Boat Engines and Safety of Fishermen at Sea to the Mechanized Fishing Vessel Operators of Kanniyakumari District
